Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Oooh, well done, LindsD. Just remember - don’t let anyone else give you their monkeys.

I’m reading a Newt book. Also I’m eating Easter-themed chocolate for the first time this year.

That's lovely news HP :-)

My newt for today was trying a new place for lunch. Went to the ramen bar in Wholefoods on Kensington High Street. Had a bowl of rice, pickled veg and mushrooms, crispy noodles and battered chicken. It was an interesting mix of textures and tastes but it did give me quite bad heartburn :-o

Our daffs have been out for a while but the last 48 hours of relatively higher temperatures and a bit of sunshine have brought the primroses into bloom all over the garden. Not strictly a newt but they really are a sign of the new season :-)

Although daffs seem to have been out *everywhere* recently the very small clump of them by our back door which I have been waiting to see bloom for ages, finally did so today.

I must remember this spring to take a Staff-odils picture of Wanda :-)

I have two newts for today. One I led a group of five runners from a local facebook running group on a half hour/5k run round my village (another lady in the village had got the group together but was unable to run tonight after all).

Earlier in the day I had presented an 'assembly' at the local primary school. Approximately 200 kids.... it was more than scary!!!
