Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

That's a good one SarahWoo.

In order to have a daily newt I went to the Co-op and bought chocolate with honey and almonds - it was about the only bar of chocolate (with the exception of white chocolate which I would rather starve than eat) that I haven't actually bought before. I imagine it won't be bought again as I don't think honey and almonds are something I'd particularly want to eat in milk chocolate but I'll give it a go!

I must start a decent training newt soon if I want to be ready for the track season - you never know, we might get one.

But for today a six mile walk to Hackney’s Victoria Park. I’ve lived here for over thirty years but have always cycled there in the past - and I managed to go slightly wrong.

Rest day in my JennisFitness Challenge 2, which is an ongoing new thing. Half way through now.

Too many newts to remember. You’ve been busy today.

A couple of newts for me. I dropped QP back off at college today. I took an opportunity to do a newt walk. Not as long a walk as I had intended but it was tipping down. On the way home I went to the supermarket and I bought ginger cordial for the first time. It’s quite nice with a squeeze of lime. I also bought three ginger tea.

I must look closer when I’m out walking. I feel like none of our green things are springing into life.

Turns out I inadvertently bought a new chocolate. 71% with goji berries and forest fruits. It’s alright.

Trying to form a nutrition plan. I have a great book but it says things like a portion of carbs is a palm ... and a snack should be 1/2 portion of carbs and 1/2 a portion of protein

So how’s that work? If a portion of protein is a cupped hand of yoghurt how can you measure that!? And I have tiny hands!
I need grams grrr

About This Thread

Maintained by Sharkie
starblackheartstar The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring starblackheartstar

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.

The first few pages of the thread give more ideas.
