Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Lots of good stuff :-) Congratulations ageingtractor- that's exciting.

I went a walk and was thinking about this thread, and also about the treasure hunt. I found what I thought was impossible- a new path :-)

She didn't exactly tellme to, but a nod's as good as a wink to a sprinting shark as the Faces didn't quite say.

I bought some Creatine (about £8 for 6 weeks supply) from H&B yesterday and started taking it today. RAAAAAAAAAAAR!

My jingling newt for today is having provided information that persuaded Sharkie to do something new ;)

Apart from that, I have only the tail of a newt to declare today. For the last three days I've been working early shifts, finishing at 2pm, and going straight out for a run. This is a lockdown-specific newt because having an excuse to run somewhere other than home is a real treat at the moment. The big brother of that particular newt will appear later this week.

Not quite new but something I haven't done for ages. I wrote a letter to a friend. Proper writing and with my ink pen ( forgot how nice it was to write with!) Will try to do this more often.

I ran a km today without walking - not new new, but certainly new for 2021 so I’m counting it.

I reckon I have all those things in my cupboard so I might give it a try. Mind you I do also have a jar of ready mixed Ras el hanout spice too so I probably don't need to make any more just yet. But I might look at different ways of using it in the meantime.

I like making up my own spice mixes - it's good to be able to add a bit more of some things and less of others. It's good to be able to identify what those things ARE.

About This Thread

Maintained by Sharkie
starblackheartstar The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring starblackheartstar

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.

The first few pages of the thread give more ideas.
