Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Useful thread, this. I'm hoping to run Chicago next year and you're not allowed hydration vests so getting an idea of what else peeps use is helpful.

Naked running band is awesome Mark.
You can have all gels and water with you along with the phone and so on.
I was baffled about how much that one swallowed and was ok to run with.

Apparently you are allowed the vest, just not the bladder inside it. Not sure if that makes a difference?

Never used to take a phone. Fell on the canal and no one stopped to help. Always carry one now.

:-O I can imagine it for safety / security though.

Only time I was on a longer run and had an actual accident where I could have done with a lift home, I did not have a phone with me. But once in

... checks Fetch log

...
25,073.3 miles
4108 runs
4193 hrs 06 mins 11 secs

...

isn't a bad safety margin / ratio! :-) G

About This Thread

Maintained by Muttley
Seeking advice on the best way to do this. I've tried armbands and waistpacks in the past but they were bargain basement cheapies so doubtless there's better out there. I've seen adverts for vest-type holders as well. I've got a couple of hydration vests but the pockets aren't big enough. Phone is a Xiaomi.

Quick access would be ideal. I got bitten by a dog this morning and it would have been good to take a photo of it and its owner.
