Don't police habitually put things in the passive voice though?

Has a lived memory of. Instead of a dead memory of? Or a stolen memory?

My notes show he also said "positive indictment". I just wrote it and put a ring round it. I have no idea whether it was a good or bad thing.

He's actually a really nice guy - far too nice to be a senior copper. He just has an uneasy relationship with his native English as it is usually spoken.

PS I think a "positive indictment" is a bad thing. Although you could say, it's good that it's been recognised. But that's a different thread
Also, I've just noticed I'm up against you in WSW. I may be having a walk later.

That's going to be a win for you then I think. I walked to work and back yesterday with my Garmin, but apart from that I'm going through a 'Garmin only if I'm doing sport not (say) walking to church' phase so anything half energetic should get you the W.

Dear all
As a responsible employer and to highlight our continued commitment to the safety of all employees we will be conducting random alcohol and drugs testing across the business from January 2023. Please see below statement from the company hand book.
“The Company may require the Employee to submit to an analysis of biological material from time-to-time to ensure compliance with the Company’s policy regarding substance misuse. Advance warning of such testing may not be given, but such testing will be restricted to detecting substances which impair performance. Employees are required to comply with any appropriately conducted medical procedure to carry out such testing. If an employee refuses to comply with a reasonable instruction to participate in a legitimate testing procedure, or a test result is positive and significant with regard to work performance, the Employee may be removed from specific work activities immediately and render him/herself likely to summary dismissal.”
Have a safe an peaceful Christmas.
