Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I'm in again. Should get on the board in an hour or so, as I'd like 7.5 miles to give me my first 50 mile week in good knows how long...

I'm in again. Logged a double parkrun this morning with WUs/WDs to get 13miles total. So I'm ahead of target!

Aiming to break 3000km for the first time this year. Started the year with a 5km PB, so upping my mileage should help net a few more PBs later in the year.

That's the best start to the new year bgillam!

Just back from a 5mile run with Jigs, still frosty pavements in places, fortunately no mishaps :-)

Thanks Mrs Jigs, PB obtained after 3 hours sleep and pre race fuelling was half a bottle of port 7 hours before the race. Frankly wanted to be on the sofa with a cup of tea rather than racing, which is maybe what spurred me on to get home quicker.

I've had a slow start with only nine miles done so far. Hoping to be nearer 2400 this year but will depend on hip health! Am in for a "short" ultra, 44 miles, in mid February.

I am aiming for 2-3000 miles this year. I am new to this level of mileage and it is part of a challenge I have set myself to run from Gatwick to Florida (4350 miles) for a charity that took us on a wish trip there in December. I will incorporate marathons and ultras as well as running 5-6 days a week. What do I need to know? Is there anything else I need to do? What do I need to eat? Any advice would be so welcome.
