About this parkrun

Ran Bushy on Christmas Day, some great outfits in a four figure strong crowd!
PWA 3rd Jan 2019

Nice, flat and only one lap. Parking can be a nuisance and getting away from the parking can be very busy.
Garfield 3rd Jan 2019

The original! Flat, mostly gravel path. Very wide start accommodates the 1000+ runners nicely. Ge tther at 8:30 or before to get parking - if you're reasonably quick then getting away again isn't too much of a problem. There are loos but also queues!

Mostly gravel, flat, fast, 1 lap. Usually gets well over 1000 runners, so can be busy, but also means you're rarely running alone. Don't drive - get the train. Ideally have a bit of time to wander around after. The OG - you NEED to to this.

Flat 1 lap course on grass and trail. arrive early (8:15?) and park nearby the start or the cafe which is 5 mins walk away. Always busy - have your barcode to hand and do as you are told in the finish funnel.
Groundhog 9th Jan 2019

the original is now a massive event, feels very different to other parkruns as a result. The start line is a serious experience. Wide, flat, single lap course mainly on hard trail. Perhaps park outside the park and jog in. Do it!

The home of parkrun, its a must do, at least to get your pilgrim badge. As you'd expect extremely busy, but well organised, and continues to show that parkrun ethos of community. 1 lap, figure of eight, grass and gravel paths.

One lap on trails, entirely flat, scenic. The biggest UK parkrun and can take a while to get through the finish funnel - it is excellently handled though. Bus 111 or 216 to Hampton Court are nearest, also train to Hampton Wick or Hampton Court.

Park further out and jog in to avoid the queues. Lovely wide start and very quick especially due to the number of numbers who you can use for pacing against. Experience the double funnel and hand out, palm up to get your position token

The original parkrun although different course from original. Very busy one lapper around a beautiful park on grass, tarmac and a hard noggin path. Fun double funnel at end and rumour has it a lovely and handsome Event Director...

Fantastic to run where it all began. Great single lap run. Volunteers marvellous.
Bobbyboy 28th May 2019

Flat, one lap. Wide grass start then gravel and tarmac paths. A mile from Teddington train station. Much faster than I was expecting to get through the finish funnel.
Bramble 1st Jun 2019

Parked on street a little way away, a good move. Very flat. Very busy (of course). Nice atmosphere.

One big flattish loop. Mixture terrain of grass, tarmac & trail.
Ally-C 24th Sep 2022

One lap trail but good surface - very busy but worth doing just once.

Awesome experience from start to finish. Great cafe in the park for afterwards.
Shortcut Cam 18th Mar 2023

I bloody loved it. Over 1,300 finishers. Such a fun, inclusive event. Get to the car park early, we got there at 8.15 and had no stress. Found a great cafe after, called Pomegranate which was lovely. Course is nice, was busy but not mental.
Sombrero 8th Jul 2023

The original and some may say the best. Multiple finish funnels have to be seen to be believed. Great flat course, over 1000 runners weekly. Lovely atmosphere.
