Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Lovely, Helegant 🥰

Shadow is recovering just fine from his little scuffle with Lanza, and we've been focusing on correcting her if she tries to push past the others or us and we're already noticing a difference.
She seems fine with being nearly permanently muzzled unless we're all very comfortably sat down and she's away from the other two (or it's food time), so the pack dynamic seems to be settling down a bit.

I was away this weekend, but we're now both at home until the beginning of September so hopefully a bit of consistency will help with that too.

The joys of aging hounds.
Cookie has been up most nights for the past 3-4 weeks. We are currently trying to get weight on him as he’s dropped to near 8kg recently.
The problem is he’s a picky eater with his regular food and when he does have extra volume he needs to toilet more.
Overnight.
Also other old dog issues, not helped with the warmth.

That's sounding a bit more positive Rae.

Poor Cookie. And poor you guys :(

We were away for a week, leaving Biscuit with T2. He went into raptures when we returned and we took him for late evening beach scampers when it was cooler. He also got a sausage from the chippy. Currently he is doing his very best impression of a bagel.

When my old dog went off her usual tinned food and was loosing weight, we found that cooking up some mince with a little water to make a 'gravy' went down well.

She went off anything she had to chew, biscuits, dentastix etc. Her teeth were fine, it was like she just couldn't be bothered.

Current dog is very picky and eats like a bird. Unless it's human food, then she wants it all! This hot weather has put her right off, we've been feeding her in thirds! She seems to quite like her food straight out the fridge though.

Both dogs did and still do get their own sausage when we go to the chippy.

The mobile chippy doesn't come to where we now live but in our previous home we could not walk Wanda past it as she would just sit down in the queue until the lady serving gave her a sausage!

Maisy (15) loses weight easily now and is picky about food. I’ve been trying the Butternut Box food that’s advertised everywhere. She absolutely loves it. It’s not cheap but it’s worth it to see her enjoying her food.

Purina HA is the current food. A mix of wet and dry. We were on Lilys Kitchen but it was bad for his stomach.

He still likes his treats, but I don’t want to feed him up in biscuits, I’d rather him eat the nutritious stuff and have biscuits as extra.

Bella stole a whole (small) pork pie from my plate today. Otherwise, she has a mixture of kibble, tinned sardines, rabbit ears, dentastix, treats and fish cubes. I don't think she'd turn her nose up at any food.
