I just tell Wanda that even in lockdown it's still possible to put her on the fast train to London from here and when she gets out at the other end someone will just take her back to Battersea...... She just wags her tail........

As you may remember, Baroness, the line here is, 'Raystede in the morning for you!'
And Maz: 'He didn’t NEED to go out, he wanted to go out and run around the garden barking at invisible invaders.'
We just need a pronoun change there.

I'm just hoping that the chewing and biting (mostly when over excited) reduce down fairly soon. That and being able to settle and snooze more easily, and I'll deal with the rest somehow. Albie now likes to go out (and knows I'll let him out if he asks) to go and hunt for rotten fallen apples in the garden (or old flowerpots) - he then charges in with his prize and it's tricky to get it off him. I've checked the garden and cannot find any more apples, but he always manages to find them even if I can't.

I also agree that it is so easy to see other's dogs and see a really well behaved dog and then be very self critical. But we don't see behind the scenes and those other people's struggles of course.

If you haven't seen them, the photos of Mad Dog Jess in GM's blog today really made me laugh

Having fun on the beach today.
Much better few days with Arlo. I think he is feeling better and he is much calmer and aggression seems to have disappeared.

Good to hear Roberto.
Albie is being challenging:
He has his lunging barking bitey moments still that are still so hard to manage. They happen when he is frustrated or over excited. It can be a little scary. I try hard not to react but it can be extremely hard. This happens most days for a minute or two but makes everything feel so much harder and you feel more wary all the time.
He can take a long time to settle in the crate when over tired - lots of whining and yelping. Again stressful. Doesn’t always happen but is often something I have to deal with in the evenings when I’m tired.
He seems scared of his harness (trying lots of positive reinforcement/associations). This makes it hard to go for successful walks. Hard anyway due to weather - giving him a break as I don’t blame him! When will this rain ever stop.
Hoping that things will improve.
When he’s calm or sleepy he can be totally lovely.

I’m glad Arlo is feeling better. Every time I see pictures I think he’s like a skinny/less fluffy version of Ernie.
Finally managed to see a vet about Ernie’s yelping. Sprained neck was the verdict. I had reached that conclusion anyway. He gave us an anti-inflammatory, suggested we use his harness for walks and sent us on our way £46 lighter. Bloody dogs.
