Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Who's bottling it today?

I ran to work in full FRA mandatory kit. Warmed up with tailwinds but cross/ head winds & rain were brutal and I arrived feeling v.cold. The sort of conditions I'd expect on the tops, not in the suburbs of Manchester.

Go. Go do it!

It was lovely here in Central Scotland - blue skies. Bit of a wind, but not bad. Last night's 2 mile time trial was cancelled due to icy paths and pavements. So we did 6.7 miles trail through woods and lochside with head torches.

Sunday was horizontal blizsards, so we went up 2000ft into the hills.

Um, no, not bottling it here! :-) G

Done it - tailwind most of the way but himself turned up early so only 6 instead of 7 done! Seeing as I did 2 too many yesterday, I shall let myself off

I ran at 9 am, howling wind, lashing sideways rain that felt like hail, spent the first mile saying 'f*cking hell' under my breath and the second two splashing through gigantic puddles and loving it. But then I'm weird.

I was going to go for a decent bike ride this morning, but the wind on the dog walk was enough to convince me that I'm not carrying enough ballast not to be blown sideways ;-)

First mile is always horrid! Actually I am usually miserable until about 2 miles then stop thinking and it gets easier. Last week in -5C it took over a mile before I could feel my fingers.

Long run planned tomorrow, aiming for a "new high" of 10miles but weather forecast looks unappealing!

Good luck Tm - if your weather is like our weather this morning, I don't envy you a long run. I'm so pleased I have a rest day today *smug face*
