Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

What minor disaster has befallen you today?

SweetPea got a bit giddy whilst playing Articulate and managed to land the chair leg on her toe. The nail will definitely go, there was a lot of blood, and we are both hoping it's not broken.

I went for a walk before work, then trailed mud all over the floor of the office.

One of the dogs woke us up at 1am whining to go out - was let out then came back in and shat on the floor.
She woke us again at three and did the same thing.

In an unrelated incident, I ended up late and irritated frantically cycling across the city racing an imaginary traffic warden to move my car before the pay and display parking ticket expired.

But luckily for me, though I was a good 20 minutes beyond the expiry, there was no ticket on the car when I got to it, and I now have the very unexpected double perk of an unoccupied seat next to me on the eurostar and potential free ticket to the second half of a gig with Tim Minchin and Sara Pascoe (my train gets in too late for the first half, but hey, free is free, and half a show is better than no show at all).

Went to get a tyre replaced on the car but also shown that a second needed replacing and that the tracking was out. Totally correct by the guy in question, so better safe than sorry.

Hubby drove to work this morning...only there was a big car crash just before Dorking and the roads were closed into Dorking. He had to come home...he would have been better off staying at home and working.

Forgot to pick up my bike from the service people. Again. Third day in a row.

Then again, I nearly fell off it (all 16 inches of its frame) three times in the space of 1.5 miles last week, so maybe I should leave it well alone!

Got to work and someone had parked in my parking space, so I had to find a long stay public car park that still had places at 8.35. Ended up being late for work
