Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

It’s snowing here in the North East!!! You just can’t beat snow on Xmas Eve (even if we now need to take the gazebo down that took forever to put up - or put the fire pit on 😂)

It was a nightmare walking into work this morning. Not feeling the Christmas spirit at the moment as to me it’s not really Christmas this year. But looking forward to FSS tomorrow.

I have to agree Pen, normally the festive spirit comes from the build up with people around us we haven't had that this year. I honestly think I got a shock on Tuesday that it was only 3 days away! Determined to find positives in the differences and hope that next year is better.

Yes having FSS definitely helped here good to have something normal. I thank you all for taking part and making it a lot of fun as always.

Going back a while I thought that I had received my FSS present, but then received one which had FSS written on it and so was at a loss as to who it was from.
Well, although I’ve not opened it, I’ve found out that it’s from one of my nephews. We’ve always given presents (birthday and Christmas) to him, and I guess now that he’s well and truly a working adult he feels able give presents to us. We don’t give expecting to receive so it was a lovely surprise. 😀

Agrees with Old Croc...FSS present will nearly be the only normal thing this Christmas. Having said that, hubby and I have quiet Christmases every year. In the past, we sometimes might visit his cousin but that was ages ago.

I'm definitely looking forward to mine. Some other presents aren't as much as a surprise as they could be due to some of being posted directly to us and the boxes giving a clue, so it's nice to have a proper surprise to look forward to!
