Ok, firstly I wanna say to my FSS, I'm sorry that its taken me so long to post in here.. its been a busy couple of days and I needed a bit of time to compose myself properly to write this..
Now.. secondly I don't think I can convey how flabbergasted I am with the presents I received. I don't write much on this thread (let alone fetcheveryone, even though I've been on here for ages and participated in almost every FSS) but I havee to say I am amazed at the depth of research my FSS has undertaken this year.
I received 3 presents, the first is a box of gingerbread.. not just a normal box, this box is a lovely metal box which when you remove the gingerbread can also be used as a candle holder and portrays the skyline of the town square of a city in Poland in which the gingerbread is made.
So why I am I so amazed at this present? Well it looks nice, this city, called Torun is the home of the best gingerbread in Poland, and I know that because.. for the last 15 years I've been visiting Torun (my wife's home town), and buying gingerbread from this company every Christmas.. but wait for it.. this is the first time in 15 years that we are unable to visit Torun, and unable to buy this gingerbread! So when I saw the present I was completely dumbfounded, as it brings back my most favourite recent Christmas memories! Also mrs, monsenb1 was incredibly impressed and happy to see something from her home town...
Secondly, as a sci-fi fan, I was delighted to get a desk calendar from the Mandalorian, with the added twist of it being in German.. At this point I think my FSS is playing with me, as I found a post-it note attached, asking if i was bilingual  Well I did live in Germany for 7 years, so yes I bloody am! Another great present FSS..
The third present was a snazzy shoelace that doesn't need to be tied up but has a fastener you can pull tight.. now my FSS can't possibly know how useful that it for me as I only learnt to tie my shoelaces properly at University.. nah they couldn't know that.. its not something I tell anyone out of sheer embarassment haha
So FSS, thank you, thank you! This year is the best yet
