Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Superb running DT19 and great work on the split. I had a relatively disappointing day (although I need to get a grip on what is essentially a first world problem). Finished 2:48:31 - 4th in my age category but I struggled second half when my hip flared up and I gave up a few minutes towards the end.

My last double figure run yesterday went ok. It was 8 steady into 2 @ Mara Pace/Effort. The 2 were done at around 6m40 pace but my HR was high 150's and I'll defo be running lower HR than that for a good while on Sunday if everything goes to plan. Suggests it'll be marginal for sub 3 still even though watch is now low 2h52 on it's prediction.

Reassuringly perhaps, I compared to the same session ahead of MCR and the 2 miles were quicker for lower HR, although conditions were different it was a very windy day in Weston Super Mare back in April.

Congrats on the healthy sub-3s.

Lovely negative split DT and 4th in age category of a race that size is something to be really proud of jomo, sorry about the hip!

Hoping the wind doesn't arrive early on Sunday (or if it does it's a favourable one)

Don’t worry about the wind rhb. WW and I both bagged our first sub-3 in the winds of ‘Storm Brian’ at Abingdon, so we’ve already set the precedent for you. Ignore the wind, and embrace the flatness!
