Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

My children certainly had a small stomach for the first course and a large one for any dessert. I haven't noticed any grandchildren with the same affliction.

When I drop a contact lens, it disappears completely. Gone. Nowhere to be found. And then at some point in the future it reappears as a fragment of shrivelled plastic. Where does it go between times?

Why windows steam up on the outside (or cars, for all that matter). Should only happen if the surface is colder than the atmosphere IMO.

I know it shouldn't bother me what anyone else wears, but runners wearing way too much clothing when out running really mystifies me. And it's usually not the case that they've misjudged the conditions, or they'd be removing items. Nor is it because they are slow runners or walking and running.

This morning, at 7:30 it was quite warm enough for me to run in shorts and a t-shirt. It usually is. I'd go as far to say it was perfect conditions.

At lunchtime today, a quite nippy chap came past me as I walked wearing a woolly hat and gloves, a snood or scarf around his next, a fleecy jumper, and shorts over running tights. He must have been baking. I just don't understand why or how???
