1st January Joe, you know the rules.
Riggsy, your splits are pretty impressive yesterday and although you slowed towards the end it was nothing like a big blow up. Your shorter distance times are due for serious updating now as well.

We can talk, but PtB won’t put anything in the sidebar for a while.
Lovely day here so took the opportunity for a leisurely 20 miler in the sunshine and cold to get me set up before the schedule starts properly. The more I have looked at the JD plans the more they make sense. But starting with a first session of a long run with 12 miles at marathon pace is a bit daunting.

you get an easy mile in the middle puzzler and actually mp shouldnt be that daunting. I also dont worry if its not MP either as long as effort feels right.

Bazoaxe thanks. I agree that my shorter races are behind my marathon times.
Larkim I think what I meant by the sub 1:39 half is that yesterday has given me the confidence to know I can push through that barrier
Just got back from taking the dog a walk on Kiveton woodland and there was a South Yorkshire cross country league meeting going off. Looked lots of muddy fun
