Of all the bosses I had over the years, the best ones left me to do my job and were just happy to assist if required. The worst were always trying to make the point that they could do my job much better than I can.

I also found that the other essential for a good working environment is having
your boss happy with their boss.

I've outlasted an awful lot of bosses....

And even more."IT Directors" (insert current trendy title here!) And almost as many Managing Directors/Chief Operating Officers/CEOs !

"The company" has a certain inertia and life of its own, apparently!
