Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

The 9:59 mile thread. How hard can it be?

Whichever is easiest to record. I'm a bit hazy myself!

( will sort it out later...)

The running comfortably hard - or even dare I say it hardly comfortable - is the important thing.

Our club held a one mile time trial in the summer a few years ago. Running down-hill makes a massive difference. Also, if you've never done one you can be very surprised how quick you can run a mile. The other thing is even with a proper warm up the whole thing is over before you can imagine ;-)

I've set my Garmin up with a warm up then 2:30 interval then a cool down. I might do this tomorrow.

Just one sub 10 minute mile.
That's all I ask.
You can warm up for an entire marathon beforehand ...
