Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

20cm.. ok I am in Switzerland but that is a decent amount nowadays for an area not in the mountains.

Cross training to clear a few paths has been done.

Always late to the party, but finally "yes" we have snow in North Yorkshire.

Yep. Me too.

Thick snow at 9am, heavy rain at 10am, thawing by 11am. If the forecast is correct, the temperature is due to continue rising almost by the hour right through until 7am Sunday. Won't be any left very soon.

Melting very quickly. Road still blocked but I think it'll clear today.

We had it this morning, just at the time where it caused all the local parkruns to cancel. It was quite rubbish snow: wet, got wetter, turned to a steady drizzle. I never even bothered going for a walk in it, never mind a run. Enough fell though to turn many areas grimly slushy.
