Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I was quietly hoping to sneak past last year’s poor number but you’ve summed up my attitude Velo with ‘just because something could be done doesn't mean it should be done’. I need barely a third of what you do too

I've done my highest running mileage since 2014, pretty pleased with that (even if the total is tiny compared to some of you!). I'm particularly pleased with the consistency - one or two runs every week apart from when we were on a couple of holidays/immediately before a big event.

I've edged past last year, mainly because I didn't run the whole month of November last year.

I’ve also sneaked past last years running total by 15 miles but I’m way past what I walked last year by 406 miles 😁

Lowest total since 2020, I could blame two bouts of Covid and a rather grumpy achilles, but there was a lot of laziness and missing mojo contributing too.
I need 35 to get over 1000 which is a fairly straightforward total and I'm aiming to do it - but V'rap is correct and I'm taking more notice of my tendons than the total.

Less than 2023. More than 2021 and 2022. Was going well but then lack of confidence, the fact I wasn't working for the last couple of months of 2023 and had more time to run then and other things have made my total rather less this year.

Will see what happens in 2025

Just looked at my log while I had already beat last year's mileage but yesterday ran more this December than I did last December.

Thus each month this year I ran more than the same month last year.
Next year will be tough

17 miles down on walking, 15 miles down on running. I’ll definitely have some walking to log. I might run but it won’t be 15 miles
