Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Well done Nnifer

I chatted to a load of folk using walk-breaks today at a a half marathon. It was funny when people saw them and said things along the lines of 'oh oh walking already' (mile 2). to me they had the fast-walk on and sure enough...off they went again. they finished strong

Spot on, Homer.

It makes me smile that some people are derogatory about walking early during a marathon, but then walk nearly all of the marathon from mile 22-23.

Walk early, stay fresh for longer, and if feeling good in the last 5k run continuously and overtake loads of people.

I’ve overtaken plenty of people in races when I’ve run walked and they’ve run off too fast and run out of steam. I’m very careful nowadays not to say anything silly to people walking instead of running because it’s super annoying when people do that to me. Not that I’ve walked in many races recently but most of my regular runs with friends feature walk breaks :)

I will be run walking Beachy :)

That's class FenlandRunner. What way did you do it? I'm taking a break now for a couple of weeks to just relax after 30 weeks of good training but going forward I think I want to continue to use it, for my long runs at least.

Really happy with 3:1 Run:Walk today, 20-miles and feel great during and afterwards.
