Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

4 x 700 today, with arm drills to warm up. I’m trying to make consciously relaxing my shoulders & not hunching them up by my ears a habit for life, not just for running, but it’s really hard!

First boot camp done. Tried really hard so pleased.
Saturdays interval session however is not declared: pacing was off and I left too much in the tank

Excellent, Dipps. Plus I assume fair comment on Saturday, although pacing and effort levels could be part of learning process which would still make it a quality session?

Am going to search out boot camp details....

Due to work I'm missing the next couple of track sessions. Can't get to Wepre as not enough time, so had to make do with Prestatyn on Saturday. Ran flat out and trying to concentrate on form especially on the return mile. Speed is definitely not there, but a useful benchmark. I like the regularity of parkrun as you can measure against yourself.

Do have ongoing leg issues and 5k has the added benefit of being pain free

Forgot about your lovely quality suite thread. Would my efforts in yesterday’s half marathon count. First race for me in two years. Finished in a time of 2:09:16 which is a 60.24% WAVA.

45 min of various types of difficulty including rotations of sets of jacks, mountain climbers, something leg with weights I can’t remember the name of, and squats, then bear walk and wall sit, press ups and knees up, some kind of leading leg stand and bottom flicks. I tried hard with each although I was clearly not getting leg things or press ups right.
I was aiming for stability on interval reps but I was too cautious - not a waste of time but not quality nailed

Sounds good Dipps. Think Linds has gone through the list for me - we compared notes, with demos, in the square behind Johnnie Lou Lou, last summer.

Early times through most resistance tyoe exercise is as much about neural activation and patterns and that sort of thing. So...all good! xxx

A place to record your quality sessions. Once a week for a kick off, if you can. Doesn't have to be running but for once I'm asking for exercise related stuff.

It has to be a session that you feel ticks all the boxes, something you really commit to, do what you mean to do. No half hearted stuff, but no plod through it either. In the words of my elite sprinter friends, you 'execute'. (Not really my friends it's just what they say on the telly.) Not necessarily hard, a...
