Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

'Fifty plus people' as in more than fifty people, or people who are older than 50?

The issue with utopias is your idea of a utopia is someone else's idea of hell.

Utopia is a logical impossibility.

I'd liken it to the statement made by someone (possibly a Tory education minister) insisting that schools must work towards ensuring all pupils attain above average grades.

Merry Christmas and Happy NewG(rrr)
My idea of utopia (or I should say, the anonymous person's idea of utopia in their campaign) can be no one's idea of hell, except people who think it's OK that in today's world, we the 10% richest nations, should be allowed comfort and joy at the expense of the planet and the rest of its population. If the other 90% of the planet had a vote, it would win. Just we rich, fat turkeys who don't want to vote for the Christmas present that the rest of the world so desperately needs!

More than 50 people Raemondo, no idea of the age of those voting! :-) G

Very pleased to see that my proposal is hated by more people that any other, which simply proves that I am right.

My World Leadership Pledge 🌍 Fellow citizens of Earth, I humbly stand before you to propose a bold vision for our shared future. Together, we can transform our world into a beacon of unity, opportunity, and joy. Here’s what I pledge: 🌿 Planetary Wellness for All I will commit to a Global Green Renaissance. This means planting one trillion trees, converting deserts into lush landscapes, and ensuring clean energy powers every home. No one should have to choose between electricity and clean air. 📚 Knowledge for Everyone Education will be free, lifelong, and universal. A World University Network will ensure everyone can learn new skills, whether they’re 5 or 95. Plus, students will only pay for their textbooks with cookies they bake for their teachers. 🤝 Fun Taxation & Resourceful Funding To fund these promises, I propose: A worldwide karaoke competition, with ticket sales funding the green initiatives. You sing, the planet wins! A "Joy Tax": Corporations will pay 1% of profits to spread happiness, like funding public festivals, mental health care, and free ice cream. Repurposing one month of global military spending into humanitarian aid. What better way to promote world peace? 🛠️ More Fun Policies to Get You on Board Naps are mandatory during the workday. Siesta solidarity! All national anthems will be remixed into dance tracks for maximum grooviness. International Cat Appreciation Day will be celebrated monthly. Let’s build a world where you’re not just surviving but thriving—and laughing while doing it. Vote for me, and I promise we’ll all be on the same team: Team Human! 💙
I will fund this by:

Fear not, I have a foolproof and fabulously fun plan to make these dreams a reality without emptying your wallet. Let’s break it down: 1. The Happiness Economy We’ll embrace creative, joy-based funding: The Karaoke Contest Extravaganza A global, yearly event where participants pay a small entry fee. The world tunes in, votes, and cheers while raising billions for green projects. Think of it as Eurovision on steroids. (Projected revenue: $10 billion annually) The Meme Marketplace Internet creativity meets philanthropy: the funniest, most shared memes are turned into NFTs, with proceeds funding global education. (Projected revenue: $5 billion annually) Corporate Joy Tax Companies contributing to global happiness—be it through festivals, environmental restoration, or free coffee—pay a 1% profit tax. This aligns business incentives with societal good. (Projected revenue: $50 billion annually) 2. Reallocating Resources for Good Redirect 1% of Global Military Spending Worldwide military expenditures exceed $2 trillion annually. By channeling a tiny fraction into planetary wellness, we can fund green initiatives, free education, and healthcare while promoting peace. (Projected revenue: $20 billion annually, minimum) Cut the Bureaucracy Bloat Simplify government structures with shared global tech platforms, reducing redundancy and saving billions. These funds will go straight into humanitarian projects. 3. Public Engagement & Philanthropy Crowdsourced Humanity Fund Imagine a world lottery where the jackpot funds climate action and education while giving participants a chance to win big. (Projected revenue: $2 billion annually) The Billionaire Payback Initiative A friendly, guilt-free nudge for the ultra-rich to contribute their fair share via philanthropy. Who wouldn’t want their name on the "Global Happiness Hall of Fame"? 4. Economic Growth through Sustainability Investing in renewable energy, education, and mental health creates jobs and innovation, leading to a thriving global economy. Taxes on this prosperity will sustainably fund ongoing projects. In short: Fun, fairness, and financial foresight. 🌟 Vote for me, and let’s fund the future together!

No amount of benefits can outweigh an increased amount of karaoke.
