Labour could still turn things around if they stopped trying to be Reform-lite and governed, confidently, on their own agenda, not Farage's. Four years of reasonable, competent government would put Labour in a very different position from where the Tories were before the last election. But they have to change tack pretty sharpish, give McSweeney his P45. And as I've suggested here before, I think the chances of Reform making it all the way to 2029 without soiling themselves badly in public are pretty slim. But then again, America did re-elect Trump, so what do I know? |

If the economy is back on track and people feel better off, Labour have a good chance of a win. Anything else, Reform wins. |

People's memories are incredibly short. It must have been all of two weeks since unpopular incumbent left of centre governments in Canada and Australia were reelected. With bigger majorities. Having trailed in the polls for well over 6months+ It's 4 years to the next GE, trying to predict what will happen in that election is akin to reading tea leaves |

Though he hasn't won yet and leader only holds the post for 2 years before another election so even if he wins he might not get to a GE - for that latter reason I suspect any skeletons might not appear in the press for a while. Mind, half of the country are putting their faith in the ex commodities trader, off shore bank holder, four homes, land and gentry, Thatcher worshipping, working class hero. So 🤷♂️ The press has already been reporting it. You can bet if he was elected leader, it would be the first question he's asked on every appearance on TV for a while... I mean it's not just a skeleton, it's weird. And shows a certain view of women that personally I find a bit off |

Yeah you could be right, it could be like the Layla Moran slapping her boyfriend with a computer lead one... and being arrested for it... that pretty much killed her off being leader. And in hindsight was and still is repugnant. I must admit the whole NATO thing I found worse, because it showed a blinkered view of geo-politics and the kind of view Corbyn espoused that he was eventually hammered for (I think his response to Salisbury is what killed his opinion poll ratings, he was flying high after 2017, and I know anti-semitism came to define/bury him, but it was the "let's not condemn Russia, we don't know it is them" line that his credibility first took a massive whack. |

Trump being Trump in South Africa - such a good look, arguing that white people are being discriminated against and murdered.
