Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

It's a parkrun, nothing to do with politics. I'd be all over the parkrun Facebook page like a rash telling them to get f#####d.

Politics & parkrun shouldn't mix.

Yup, nothing so overtly political. I’d feel the same way whether it was an organisation pro or anti the way I voted in the referendum.

I'd wear my bollocks to brexit t-shirt and run with an EU flag, whether or not they were a pro or anti brexit group.

In fact I'll probably do that at my next parkrun anyway.

(ok, I probably won't)

There's sthg about that in the charter. I think it's expressly forbidden.

Pro or anti brexit, there shouldn’t be any encouragement for a group of activists to take over an event. I hope the concept is hypothetical - if not, I’d be contacting HQ to let them deal with it.

parkrun is runn8jng event & therefore IMO only running or running related (e.g. local school organising a race,) should be allowed to adopt etc a run or be promoted at a run - no room for politics of any persuasion at parkrun IMO.

I guess you can't stop anyone turning up to run but promoting them is another thing. I'm pretty sure parkrun HQ strictly forbids promotion of this type.

Definitely no to them volunteering as a group.

Running related or charity is fair enough but not political. If I knew it was happening I'd attend a different parkrun that week, whether I agreed or disagreed with their standpoint.
