Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

They're not travelling very fast, by the sound of things.

I really enjoyed Chichester parkrun today. First time I've seen wooden posts permanently making the route with the parkrun logo on.

Poole parkrun was very good, very friendly (though has anyone ever found a parkrun *un*friendly? I hope not). I like free tea, coffee and water being offered (and a donation encouraged but not in a heavy-handed way.)

Glad to hear you enjoyed Poole parkrun LD. Maybe next time you'll travel the few extra miles to Bournemouth!

Has anyone got an accurate measurement for Linford Wood Parkrun?

I swear it's further than 5K

We found Brockenhurst a bit on the 'frosty' side....

Talking about measurements a couple of us tourists found Clair parkrun was recorded a little short on our garmins. Over 200 metres. Not thought about Garmin accuracy before but It did make me wonder about how accurate they are on non-flat courses. No biggie. Usually with weaving I tend to find I have always gone over 5K. (We didn't start near the front either)

For Clair parkrun I wonder if that's due to some of the turns (e.g. the turn at the top of the hill, which if I recall correctly is wuite a sharp turn) which you do 5 times. GPS watch could easily lose accuracy here and cut the corner off and multiply that 5 times you are going to lose a bit.

I just realised I never uploaded my Christmas Eve tourism at Clair parkrun so can't check my watch estimation :-O
