Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Your Lordship, did you ever get to the bottom of what was happening re. miles/km when importing via the two methods?

I assume we still have to upload the individual FIT files from an Edge 800.....

Moleshome - I think that was a FIT file import? I'll get to that when I can, sorry - just trying to get this working.

Sorry about blundering onto this thread and being rather slow but...

I'm just back to running today after being injured for a month. I have tried to upload my run from my 305 (clicking 'upload from your Garmin') and I get the message 'sorry no Garmin was found'.

I take it this is related and will be back to normal soon?

Ade - I've not changed anything with the existing importer. There's clearly a problem somewhere for you unfortunately :-/

When you make it beter can you spell out what you've done in very simple big letters, possibly with nice little pictures for thickos like me. Just so I can still upload. Mind you at present I feel the force, swear a bit, wave my garmin around and pray...... Thanking you.

Echo, echo, echo...

Fetch, did you know that Biking on the Garmin 305 is no longer identified as Bike by default on the import screen? Easy enough to change the drop down, obviously.

And I like the default to Yes for Import Y/N? for new runs, but yesterday I had to do old runs and it took me about 10 mins to click No for all except the newest two (which had got lost when my internet connection died!) :-)G

About This Thread

Maintained by fetcheveryone
Just a little note to say thanks for all the comments here and via feedback. The test phase was useful for knocking off a lot of bugs, but there's nothing like the thrill of putting something live to really get that usability feedback flowing :-)

Here's the TO DO list following feedback from users:

1) Solution for only showing runs since last update - DONE
2) Links on successful import to allow direct route to edit/view - DONE
3) Avoid reloading data on choosing different time view.
4) Stop people pressing the button more than once - DONE
5) Auto detect sport where available.
6) Fix rogue pace zones (reported by Duchess, MacApple et al)
7) Max speed (for Mick173)
8) Smoother import of elevation data.
