Ok, but this is a new pool, only built a couple of years ago. Foresight, anyone?

I'm going to have to get on their booking site promptly. Yes, I've logged 78.85km this year, out of a target of 80km, I was hoping to use the remainder of the year to practice a bit more technique rather than just thrashing up and down the lanes. There are local swim spots in rivers and bathing places, but I won't log much distance in the current water temperatures.

My swimming pretty much went to complete ratshit when I developed inflammatory arthritis over four years back, I changed my stroke to compensate for the restricted movement and when the range of movement returned I was left with a rubbish stroke and poor style that has been difficult to change. At the moment I'm seriously engaged on correcting this and it's been slow, slow, slow. Painful too, I have to say.
