Just had 5 days of resting my creaking hams. Tried them out again today - at least not lost the endurance from the previous 50 mile weeks, in fact felt really good on the 8 miler today. Fingers crossed....Probably just the thrill of running again. I`ll keep to the Ron Daws advice still I think, of just running everyday till you get your target mileage, and only then add in the MLRs, LR, sub LT/alactic stuff. Want the 70 mpw - as only an hour and a half a day (a little more probably with ham watch in place).

It's very quiet here... I hope everyone's just head down, trainers on?
My build back towards 50mpw didn't happen quite as smoothly as I would have liked, but it did happen:
26 Oct I wrote "I reckon I have another 5-6 weeks of gentle build back up to 40-50mpw" And since then weekly mileage went: 22, 15, 3, 21, 42, 42, 63 and I should get 50+ this week. The 21 mile week was 9:15m/m for 73% MHR And the 63 mile week just gone was 8:51m/m for 71% MHR.
So - getting there. Starting to get some runs now averaging in the 8:3x m/m.
I'm on holiday next week, but should be able to get a daily run done (very understanding OH). Might even have a first dabble at a sub-LT then too.

PtB - nice pick up to 63 there, with likeable percentages. Feel a bit the same - but no sub LTs. Also watch the head down thing - as in mind out for that dark streets `parked car out of nowhere` experience
Can`t wait to get my mpw up where it belongs.

Nice progress PtB
Ive had a cold for a while now and while I have maintained my 70 mpw, I havent felt up to any SubLT running and its all been at an easier pace
Might ditch tomorrow's sub LT as well and start them again next week and see where I am.
Pretty frustrating but at least I have been able to run

I have been persevering! All miles at 8:45 pace. Not sure I'm seeing much change at the minute. Been about 6 weeks in and still not got under 75%! In fact not even gone under 80%!
Going to keep at this pace and build to 50 for next 6 weeks before getting on with a 12 week plan for London. Will then revert to this.

I decided that I was recovered enough from the lurgy to dip my toe in with a 'sub' sub LT run tonight. Keeping the HR under 80% and avgd just under 78% but pace was 8:08mm so a bit down on where I was sadly. During the run I also thought I saw some drift, but the stats once downloaded suggest nothing too bad.
Lets see what Tuesday brings

Feel like I`m so new to this.
Daz- Is the MaxHR right? Just asking.
Bazo- This sub sub LT pace looks quite good, no? Relative to what would have to be LT, I mean.

Well done PtB and Baz on building / maintaining the miles.
Daz I think you'll see big differences once you've piled the miles on...
It's been a hellish last few months for me - two bouts of food poisoning, two chest infections requiring double antibiotics and steroids, norovirus, and to cap it all my father has passed.
30 planned this week, 40+ next, and I'll hit 50 the week after, fingers crossed...that will be with 17 weeks to go!!!!
