As someone who is new to the game, I'm appreciating this talk of how being active and inactive to the game affects things 👍
I've a question about traffic lights. Maybe a few actually!
1) Keeping a set of lights that you own alive is straightforward, visit it at least every seven days. If someone else visits it though, does that also keep it going?
2) More importantly, the logic for increasing its value... Is it every new person to visit it or if the same person keeps kindly running through one you own, does that also keep increasing its value? To be clear, I know you'll get points every time someone goes through it, but does the points per visit keep going up?
Thanks!

1. If I understand the question correctly - No. The only person who can refresh a traffic light is the owner.
2. The value increases every time someone who isn't the owner runs through it. The same person can increase the value multiple times.
One you didn't ask - I think somebody discovered a while back (as a result of dozens of people passing one or more lights on the London marathon route) that there's an upper limit on value. Hopefully, someone else will enlighten us as to what that value is/was - or tell me I'm spouting nonsense.

If you don’t visit your traffic light for 7 days and someone else does they will take possession of the lights at their current value.
Yes, I think there is an upper value. I’m thinking 40 - but as I’ve not had a neighbour for months I can’t remember.

Upper limit is 80.
Infected bugs have no limit I’m aware of. In central London there are some costing their owners over 200 per day!

It’s only one charge per run per person. I went through the same light 3 times today on the parkrun course but was only charged once and it’s value only went up from 12 to 16. Not sure what would happen if I logged a separate run on the same day.

Separate runs would each be charged

Sigh
Back to the bug infection of the non-competing Fetchie - their participation has been re-awakened for 18 days now, and in that time I've infected 11 of their bugs, one of which now has a daily penalty of -20!

Thanks all. I think I understand now. - while owned, each separate run by anyone other than the owner will cause the rent to be charged and for rental value to increase. This includes multiple runs by the same person - there's a cap of 80
Funny, I was thinking about how great it would be to get a traffic light on the course of a big race. Even though the rental value would be capped at 80, you get several times that in a day 🤑

Btw I'm now on the leaderboard Position 100 so only just, but it's nice to get a bit of validation where you can...

Roberton, bear in mind also that your score is only the last 30 days' activity, then the older days drop off your score.
