I'm a fairly competent flutist. I play with 2 concert wind bands made up mostly of retired military musicians. Ive played with classical groups in the past and also sung with various choirs, hoping to join the local chamber choir once my Tuesday evenings aren't taking up with dog training classes!

I think I might join in with this bbc.co.uk The deadline is in August, and it would be nice to try and do a 'cello version, though I'm not sure they'd appreciate it. Just ordered a couple of new oboe reeds, and that might be a better option. Rather disappointed to have missed the Blow the Dust Off event in Nottingham on Saturday.

Hi all, I'm a half decent drummer and former international rock star 😉 I can play guitar, mandolin, and uke but all of them appallingly. Currently in one proper giging band and one part time occasional fun project. It'd be great to get a Fetch orchestra together, wouldn't it. |

I think it would be great fun Captain S. Having read the various abilities posted so far, I think that the result with the combination of instruments and abilities would be........................ interesting, but brilliant fun ![]() |

Another flautist here - I was lead flute in the Bradford Schools Orchestra back in the late 1960s/early 70s, not through any particle of ability, but because I was the only one forced to go to all the Saturday morning rehearsals by her Mum. Did also have some piano lessons, but lack co-ordination, so find it tricky doing different things simultaneously with my left and right hands. Have very little musical talent and can only play if the music is written out in front of me and isn't too difficult. But I have got my own flute! |

I took up sax at 35. I had always wanted to learn music but never did! I got grade 6, failed grade 7 and have very little time to play now. I am hoping that may change in a couple of years, may take lessons up again!

I am a grade 8 + viola player and still play in orchestras etc. I particularly enjoy quartets so would welcome contact with anyone in the London area who wants to form a group .
