Congratulations on finally managing to move NE. Feels like you've been trying for quite a while now. Sounds like a great location. And always useful to have somewhere nearby for a post-training run cuppa ![]() We've been here for nearly 5 years now, and I'm still pinching myself. |

Just a reminder to everyone that it's the Kettlewell Anniversary race tomorrow.

Mmm. Can you enter on the day? Might make an appearance, never done this race for some reason.

This thread seems to have died a little and I could do with some inspiration to get out in the hills. What's everyone been doing? How about a few daily updates as to what or where we've been going on our regular runs? I'll start: Nice loop up and over Giggleswick Scar last night from Settle, back under Smearsett (didn't visit summit) via Dales Highway. |

Not sure I can help with inspiration. Without a car I’ve struggled to get out into the hills with any regularity. Though I did very briefly lead the Roseberry Topping race at the end of last month after deciding my tactics - because of reduced sharpness / fitness - were to try hold on for as long as possible. Didn’t last long at all but was fun while it lasted! |

NE - I've just entered Langdale which will be my first time since 2015; the year I tripped and gave myself a scar on my throat I still have. That was also the day of the BG dinner where Bobs and I got our certificates. that seems a long time ago!

I'm steadily regaining fitness following two cataract operations and Covid this summer. I need to venture off-road more often. I have an entry for 2024 Haworth Hobble, which will be my tenth, so a bit of time on the feet would be handy
