Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

We'll be lucky soon if any of the proper fell races in the Peak District still exist in anything close to their original form :-(

Not just on the Peak either, give what's happened to Fellsman the last couple of years. And that's before the new access changes muted by the current government. :-(

Newlands doesn't seem to have opened yet from what I can see on CFR's site, which is still all about 2019, or am I missing something?

Rombald's Stride tomorrow. Anyone? Forecast is for wind, it could be horrible.

Not for me. Only done it once - must have been at least ten years ago when there was snow on the tops ⛄️

It's a great route when snowy/icy. A different challenge completely when wet/windy. Footwear choice is critical, especially for that last climb up the Chevin.

Pendle in a Day for me. Apparently the going is "soft to heavy" and the forecast for top of Pendle Hill is -4 with winds gusting to 50 mph.

Should be my 10th Rombald Stride but I'm joining Flanker on the Pendle Way In A Day as I need the mileage. I'm sure you'll have a great time as usual, NE. Don't forget those extra buffs so you can get extra pie. :-D.

The Newlands 2020 event page is here: c-f-r.org.uk

Say entries open "end of Jan" but there's nothing on the Resultsbase main webpage yet.

Note Coledale is PEO this year too: ellenboroughac.com

Have patience, Fozzy. It's not the end of Jan for another 12 hours.
