Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

(I know the route, have jogged around most of it in bits, it'll do - but I doubt I'll be gunning for a time now :( )

A world of difference between the Carlisle Half and the Haworth Hobble :-)

there is! - I think I'd rather the latter, but the former is what's happening this year for better or worse

Not a world, NE. Mostly just Yorkshire between Haworth and Carlisle.

(I'm using the historic county boundaries for Yarkshire, of course).

The Hebden was a bit of a mudfest today. I've done that bloody route in all kinds of conditions and although it was a nice day, underfoot it was just horrible. Cramp issues spoiled the fun.

It was, especially towards the back where it had had hundreds of pairs of feet churning it up.

Good fun though, and nothing else fell off which is also good!

I thought it might be a bit muddy. One year it was completely frozen and I got round with dry feet

Lesley is flipping great isn't she? Tough lady. Selwyn isn't doing so bad, he's the chairman of the BGR club apart from the race promotion that he does.
