I forgot to give an update on "continuous improvement". We were given a 90 minute introduction. Apparently going to a one day session would give us the basics to start using it but a 5 day course would get us to green belt standard. But we would have to go on a course every two years to retain our "license".
I would say it was a complete waste of 90 minutes but it has brought us closer as a team as we laugh at the bollox phrases while doing air karate moves.

To: all UK&I employees; Global employees based in the UK and the EMEIA LT
Dear colleagues
There will be a protest in London tomorrow, Wednesday 21 June, with the potential to cause major disruption. At the time of writing the plans for the protest – being called the “Day of Rage” - appear incomplete, but a number of current factors might result in rapid escalation of the protest and the potential for unrest.
There will be a large public order policing presence in London tomorrow, bolstered by the occasion of the State Opening of Parliament at 11:30, which is when the protesters will commence a march from Shepherds Bush Green, aiming to arrive at Parliament Square at 13:00.
Our advice for all employees based in London or considering travelling into or through London tomorrow is as follows:
Expect a heightened security force presence in the capital, including around major tourist sites. If possible, avoid the area of Westminster. Avoid crowded areas and major shopping zones of the West End, including Oxford Street and Regent Street. Plan your journey to avoid major transport hubs in or near Westminster. Be aware that security alerts and police operations might prompt short-notice travel disruption further afield than London.

Dear colleagues,
We have been notified that a protest is scheduled to take place today. Protesters will gather in Shepherds Bush from 11.30am, before setting off on a march at 1pm. The route finishes in Parliament Square at 7pm.
The demonstration currently avoids Trafalgar Square and it is expected to be peaceful, however, our building management will monitor the event closely.
Security will be increased as a precaution, so please ensure you have your building security pass with you at all times and alert reception of any visitors in advance. There will be some road closures in the area, so you might also like to inform visitors too.
Please leave in good time at the end of the day if possible, in case protesters spill over into Trafalgar Square after the march. We would also advise you to avoid the area around Parliament Square after work.
