Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

Thanks NE.

In your photo (that I've annotated) there looks a track where I have marked yellow. I may have a rubbish memory but I think the route I took appeared where the red arrow points.

Great picture! ;). There's not really any route choice once you're funnelled into the gully (or coming up it on a clockwise BG) and it is pretty horrible in most conditions. On that wet and slippy afternoon the gully nearly did for Little Dave a couple of times.

FR it's more likely you actually appeared from just left of your yellow line (that certainly fits your trace). Red Gully is actually just tucked round the corner behind the left hand crag. Hidden under the top part of your yellow line (but just visible in the original) is trod on the rib that runs above the actually gully (on the east side) and which offers the fastest progress in the top half. The gully your red line is pointing at is a sheer drop at the top and as the ground slopes steeply in that direction it has a tendency to focus your mind rather if the conditions are tricky.

Thanks, guys. Really helpful. Enjoyed the day in hindsight, while out there, less so.

Not sure if it's a direct relevance to here, but this doesn't sound good.
