Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

Absolutely DT but when compared to the norms of society that goes for most folk who read this thread too ;-)

A good friend of mine went into a well known pub not a million miles from where you live ff and asked ‘have you got anything about 3.8% please?’. The woman serving simply said, ‘no’, then served someone else. The norm is fine (for normal folk)

I hate the use of FKT in relation to the BG. It’s the record

FKT is ridiculous for this. No way has anybody done a BG faster that nobody happens to know about.

I’m not so sure. Probably not in terms of the actual records but not everyone is interested in ‘the club’. It’s possible there have been some fast solo or very low key runs (Colin Donnelly has done amazing things off the radar) that would be top ten on the list

A list of fastest unknown times would be a useful reference point for those not interested in going for the fastest known time.

There are known knowns; there are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns — the ones we don't know we don't know. And if one looks throughout the history of fellrunning, it is the latter category that tend to be the difficult ones
