As a base for a chocolate trifle Scribbler? Break up, put some frozen cherries/fruits of the forest over the top and leave to defrost (or a tin of plus juice) then make a chocolate custard for on top.
I bet they are going to be lovely runnyeyes.
Only baking here today is more granola.

The look perfect, runnyeyes. i think you'll enjoy eating those. I wonder if, after lockdown, we'll continue with so much baking or go back to buying baked goods from shops. I suppose it depends how much time we have.

I mostly bake GM as the commercial gf options are not great.

We'll finish the lemon polenta for pudding this evening but I think I shall try and resist baking for a day or two so that we can make some inroads on the freezer stash.

I have flour again, and baking powder
Mentioning beetroot made me think I could do a chocolate beetroot cake with the beetroots from the veg box this week.
Does that recipe usually work scribbler or does anyone else have a recommendation for a beetroot cake recipe?
