Was supposed to run 18 today but ended up with a sore knee 5 miles shy of my target. Not too bad in retrospect. The realisation I should finish my run early before I badly injured myself, and then quitting when I did, was an important step for me. I'm a stubborn fool and usually ignore niggles and carry on regardless. I've iced my knee and I'm resting. It feels OK so all set for a tentative 4 miler on Tuesday now

Mrs B, I ended up going from 15 up to 20 as I was on holiday when I should have done 18. 20 was definitely harder!! (Is this good news or bad??)

Twinny, my problem with 15 was that I missed out the 14 the week before (damned foot!) so went from 13 - which I know I can do, to RUNNING FURTHER THAN I'D EVER RUN BEFORE (yes in big shouty capital letters!) which was a BIG block in my mind. I am hoping that now I know I can run further than ever before I can keep doing it!

Going to be running it in London - so avoid all the sodding hills round home! Will run alongside the Thames early in the morning, stopping to take photos - such a beautiful city at that time of day.

Well yet again my long run didnt exactly go to plan, wanted to do 14 but at 9.5 i stopped and sat down on a wall for 5 minutes trying to figure out what the hells wrong with my long runs at the moment. Eventually pulled myself together and got myself to 11 miles and back home, GNR in 2 weeks and at this rate its not going to be much fun

Tough Kent Coastal Marathon (5:19:30), although "undulating" I preferred the first half,
the second along the prom/beach huts/etc was SO long and boring thought it would never end! Looking forward to a little rest now, first parkrun on Saturday, followed by 10K on Sunday then holiday on Thursday!

Back from holiday where i managed a few decent runs, looking like I will hit target a month or so earlier than planned, next week should be the 1000th mile of the year for me.
I work and run in Thanet Liz, and it is either undulating or dull, there is very little in between, but congrats, I dont think its an easy course at all.

I updated my log earlier today and think I crossed the 1,000 threshold during my Bob Graham Round!! I think that's called doing it in style
