Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Just caught not so sweet innocent cute little puppy trying to eat a dead starling! Don't know if she caught it or found it - it seemed 'fresh'(sorry cant think of a better word). I didn't think collies did that being more interested in herding sheep. If she is into catching birds we are in for a busy time since next door feeds them every morning and there are quite probably 100s of them frequenting the garden throughout the day.

That's mine and arlos favourite past time shyfire. He finds a dead bird/fish (insert animal of choice here) of varying degrees of freshness and then I spend 10 minutes trying to get it off him before giving up and he eats it anyway.

Albie has just been to the vets - ear infection better and I don’t have to do any more ear drops! Yay!

He was carsick again though and he’s had diarrhoea today (started this morning/?last night so before vets). Vet just said to feed bland and keep an eye on it. He seems otherwise fairly ok. He was very excited to see the vet.

How have others coped with diarrhoea?

Chicken and rice might help him. I keep a supplement called YuDigest which I give to Wanda when she is either sick or had diarrhoea but I don't know whether it's suitable for puppies. Good news on the ear and the fact that he was excited to see the vet!

We’ve not had many dead things eaten. There was a seagull when he was really little and a dead rat from the bottom of the burn. More recently a foot from, we think, a deer.

Called vet and offered an appt or call back. Given he seems mostly ok apart from the odd yelp I opted for call back. Still waiting

Yeah we do chicken and rice. Our breeder also recommended 12 hours no food for a runny tummy.

We use probiotic paste when arlos belly starts going bad. Seems to help.

I’ve done some chicken and rice. He seems ok in himself. Fingers crossed he’s better quickly 🤞
