Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Labs may well have come next top LD! It's our dogs with double coats that shed so much - much more (even size for size ) than Afghans and Yorkies. The 'silky' long haired types may demand more grooming and more coat care ... but those hardy double coats are the gift that keeps on giving!

My doodle type is actually loose coated rather than really curly. He sheds a bit and the wooden floors downstairs have little bunnies. Nothing compared to some of you though I'm sure.

BUT the downside of having a non-moulter is £30 trips to the groomer every 10-12 weeks...

I read somewhere that how much an individual 'doodle'-type sheds is down to it's particular mix of genes. (I guess maybe it's the same for all of them - are there 'lots of shedding' genes and 'less shedding' genes??)

I guess Ernie's shedding gene is more cocker than poodle. He only sheds a teeny bit though, so we still have the joy of groomers bills.

Springers leave an outline of themselves wherever they lie. I should take a pic of the back seat of my car! Ralph sheds badly when nervous and he isn't keen on the car. He also hates being brushed,..,...........

The Whippet doesn't shed at all, but my black Lab sheds so much hair that I don't understand how she isn't bald. I've only got hard floors downstairs thankfully, and the Roomba vacuum cleaner takes care of the floor when I'm at work each day.

Yep, Rory sheds all over the place. I don't know why because he's only got a thin coat.

Belated congratulations, D2 and Indi! I think Indi must be the most multi-talented dog ever.
