Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

What minor disaster has befallen you today?

I needed to run 3.4 miles to get to the first Virtual Challenge badge. My run finished at 3.3, so I added the walk of 0.1 miles to my front door.
After upload i was on 50 miles, but sadly no badge as I was about 20 metres short of Dunblane Cathedral - if I had stopped my watch when I got into my kitchen it would have been enough.

[Mrs TR arranged a prescription yesterday for HRT gel. She's got two weeks supply left, so is hoping that two weeks' notice is enough and the pharmacy can get some in before she runs out.]

I have just opened a cereal bar and found it to be mouldy. I have eaten others from the same box recently.

The sponge bit came unstuck from the Vileda mophead when I'd only washed half of the kitchen floor.

Also, the quite deep cut I got on my thumb yesterday (tried to remove the spindle in the food processor before it had completely stopped spinning :-0 ) keeps opening up and bleeding on things. I'm on plaster number six, I think.

(Rich - I know, esp as it was petrol in a diesel engine! I suddenly realised halfway through the refuel)

(Vrap - is that mouldy bar one of the 100 packs you got after the marathon, or an older batch? 100 packs of mouldy bars would be medium-sized disaster at least)

[It's from a pack of four I got on the reduced counter in Tesco last year, Dooooogs. The Nature Valley bars are unlikely to support any life form.]

[lots of HRT products are out of stock, apparently the manufacturers are ramping up supply. Sooner the better!]

My glasses have fallen behind the headboard of the bed. Moving things to get them back will not be easy.
