Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Seen Book of Mormon and loved it. It’s far too ‘musical’ for him. I wondered about Lion King.

Bless him, he said he’d sit out a musical as it’s my birthday but I’d like him to enjoy it, at least a bit!

How about something on the South Bank? The Globe always make Shakespeare accessible and fun and usually have seats available or even cheap standing. Or the National Theatre usually has three plays (at least) going on.

I'm off to see White Rabbit Red Rabbit in London this w/e. It's a strange one: it's a one-person show, and each actor only performs it once. Ever. There is no specific indication for the audience as to what happens in the show. And the thing is, the performer doesn't know either!

As i understand it, on the stage is a chair and an envelope, and nothing else. The performer picks up the envelope, reads the first page, and that's when the show starts. No rehearsals, no direction for the actor as to where to stand or what to do next. Scary!

I'll be seeing Douglas Henshall, the main detective from 'Shetland'. Others doing the show on different days are Lenny Henry, Toby Jones, Catherine Tate, Ralph Little, Michael Sheen, John Bishop, Keith Allen, Freema Agyeman, Julie Hesmondhalgh (from Corrie), Adjoa Andoh... and more!

If you know about this show then please don't spoil it by posting about it on here. Apparently it contains lots of warnings about "...many themes... which some viewers may find distressing". Gulp!
