aaaand there's the break to Wales cancelled as expected.
If one has a non-smart turbo trainer, with a cadence/speed sensor, a Garmin Fenix 5s, and a low boredom threshold... could one get on Zwift easily / cheaply? I've read a few bit of info but don't want to start buying bluetooth ant things if it ain't gonna work.

I got started on Zwift at Christmas time. Because my tech is so old I needed to buy a new speed and cadence sensor bundle so that my bike could talk to my iPad via Bluetooth. I also chose to buy a new Bluetooth capable HRM so that I could get HR stats too. In the end I spent about £70 on tech upgrades (which is considerably cheaper than a new smart-trainer).
I’ve been enjoying Zwift much more than I expected to. And it’s even better than watching old movies whilst training.

I did a running in't woods.
Entirely too many walkers out there for my liking (4. and a cyclist), but it was lovely nonetheless.
This afternoon there will more garden heavy lifting.
I find myself wondering if the lake I usually swim in will be keeping a close eye on its gates - last summer it was often open and unpersonned on week days so I could just walk right in and have the place to myself. I did pay for a season pass, so it's not like I was sneaking or anything.

Afternoon,
Club swim was cancelled as expected after the announcement by BJ not sure what I'm going to do once the pool is closed, running and cycling can be done virtually if need be.

Feel free to call me a bit slow (you wouldn't be the first)....
But exactly what is the issue with running or cycling out doors?

Nothing that I’m aware of, only if in packs as for races.

I know certainly in Italy they have requested no cycling because of the potential risk of an accident - which would then mean already over-stretched healthcare personnel would be diverted to scraping you off the road - rather than any specific concerns over viral spread.

There's no reason to stop running outside as long as we sun solo (or, I suppose, with someone we already live with?) and in fact the advice seems to encourage this. I would love to look forward to sea swimming but in view of the 'avoid all but essential travel' advice I don't think we'll be seeing our seaside house for quite a while
