Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

The garmin predictor doesn't like me, currently thinks my 5k is 15.41, half 1.11 and full 2.30 suggesting I really haven't been trying hard enough

You're on the old predictor @Chris which is hard coded to VO2 Max (almost the same as a VDOT predictor. That always worked well for 5000 for me but rubbish elsewhere. Given your numbers the newer predictor will work better for you.

This might help in regards to viewing race predictor on 245 @Little Miss Happy

Garmin app on my phone? Nope. Told you I was technologically challenged. LOL.

Thanks SPR - according to that table a 2.40.55 marathon - think that might be based on male VO2 max? Either that or I seriously under perform at all distances.

The 245 has the new predictor @Little Miss Happy so you need to look at the watch or app. The new one takes training load into account so theirs no table official predictions for that (or it would be more complicated to compile). The link with predictions shows what the old predictor would show.

Thanks for clarifying SPR. I'll try to work out how to find it. I did Google it but the instructions made no sense to me. :-)

Hmm don't have that in my performance stats section. I'll just look on watch later. Though my vo2 has dropped ftom 67 to 62 in last 2 weeks as my hrm keeps spiking to crazy numbers plus I'm currently running in mid 30 temps on hol so suspect my predictions could be much more sensible than previously.
