I've not seen anyone other than people at work. I smiled a lot.

I'm not really Road ragey at all but I have been making an extra special effort to let people out and being super courteous on the road.

A friend of mine who lives alone has been poorly this week with a rotten lurgy. I text her today asking how she was and she said she'd been to work but had to come home at lunchtime and was feeling pretty rotten. She said she'd got everything she needed and I asked her if she'd got chocolate too (knowing that she's a sucker for it like me). She hadn't got any so I asked if she wanted me to take her some. She said no thanks but was very touched by the offer.
While I was driving home, I got to the point in my journey where I could turn off towards her flat (a detour of about 2 miles) and decided that I would get some chocolate and drop it round. Unfortunately, I couldn't get any answer from her when I got there so assumed she was sleeping and text her to tell her where I'd left the goodies. She was very chuffed

Smiling makes a lot of difference, GM Motoring courtesy is more important than people realise I think, Joopsy. A frustrating journey to work is a horrible way to start the day.

I took some cabbage leaves in yesterday for the guinea pigs and rabbits at work. I've just chopped off a load of cauli outer leaves for them to have tomorrow.
The other day, when it was frosty, I saw an old chap scraping his car windscreen. I asked if he wanted to pass the scraper over and I'd do the passenger side (where I was passing by); but he said no thanks.
I remember buying a couple of lovely veg samosas from a wholefood shop for a chap who sells the Big Issue close to the shop and who I sometimes chat to. I passed them to him and he replied: "No thanks; I hate vegetables." :D

My oldest daughter had something similar happen once, RS. She made a load of cakes and she and a friend took them out to give to homeless people in Birmingham. The first person they approached said, "I can't eat that, I'm a vegan," and wouldn't accept Kevin's assurance that the cakes were vegan.
I am currently avoiding a couple of opportunities to call people out for being gratuitously petulant or for Walter Mittying on the internet. That's as virtuous as I get I think I've been in net receipt of acts of kindness today.
