Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

That was clever of your Mum to get you to choose your own birthday present Lem. :)

Club run this evening - a speed session on the prom. We did: 1m run fast, 30s stop x 5, run 1 mile as fast as you can, then repeat the first section. There were so many cyclists and lots of other runners. I guess the runners are all building up for the Marathon Festival the weekend after next.

Hey guys. Some excellent running going on at the moment - very proud of you all!

Well done Nutso on the promotion and get well soon Lemon.

It's always nice to hear how everyone is doing.

I had underestimated just how bad the side-effects of my antibiotics would be! I wake up feeling like a zombie then the stomach pains kick in. I now have a dry mouth to add to it! So no running yesterday, just the school run and then had to walk DD to the drs for her asthma check.

No good news to report really - pretty fed up right now but feel a little better for being on here. In lieu of good news I will share my own mundane news. I have recovered an old chintzy lampshade with some very cool fabric and a glue gun and I'm a little bit proud of myself. :D. Next step is to redo the whole living room to match!

Can we have a photo of said lamp Dod? Sorry you feel naff on the antibiotics. I suppose knowing they are actually doing you good while making you feel crap doesn't help much either.

I am back at work today as the coughing isn't so bad now and I actually feel very well in myself now (headache and earache all gone). I still have a tickly cough but am using it as an excuse to eat Haribos as they seem to help me stop coughing ;-)
Last bits to pack tonight then off on holidays tomorrow!!! Its forecast for rain all week and I don't even care! We have waterproofs and the cottage looks very snuggly and cosy so we'll be able to stomp about in the fells getting damp then head home to get warm and dry again.
And!!! My lovely sister and her family sent me an E-gift card for White Stuff so I can have a spend up when I next go to Norwich! :-) *redheart* sisters are ace!

I've never really been bothered about hand/shoulder bags so long as they carried my stuff, and then earlier this year I was in the Osprey outlet shop with my OH buying a 50th birthday pressie for his sister and smaller pressies for my own sisters' upcoming birthdays and felt very aware of my tatty faded bag (which was actually a present from one of my sisters about ten years ago - either Sainsbury or Accesorise, can't remember which). OH also became aware of the tattyness of my bag so took me back there last weekend to choose a new bag on the condidtion I consigned the other one to the bin (not good enough for a charity shop).

AR how long (time and miles) was your club session overall? I'd find it difficult to run a mile as fast as I could, I'm entrenched in my 4 min run 50 sec walk routine.

Feel better soon DoD and Lem - glad coming on here helps DoD, we had missed you.

LG matching purse might have to be on the Xmas list for me ;-)

Anyone ever hear from Slow&Steady?

I haven't heard from her and really miss her. She was a Mongolian Wild Ass one year in the rankings - I remembered that! I live in hope that she will come back one day as she was such a warm and friendly person and full of enthusiasm.

I never used handbags for years, I used backpacks and for nights out if it didn't fit in my pockets it didn't go with me. I have no idea what happened but something changed and now I am slightly in love with the bags I have. I don't think I buy that many, however I suppose I have accumulated a few over the last 20 years now, it is my one indulgence I suppose. Well, that and Asics Kayanos!

mulbs, our session was just under an hour and we covered about 3 miles including warm up & down. As a buddy you can see my training log. For the minute runs we went back and forth and on the mile we turned back half way.
dod, hope those abs have started doing their job.
