Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Well done on getting out there Stewie.

I agree with Mulbs - very funky DoD, keep up the crafting.

Lemon - your holiday place sounds bliss, I could do with some of that - enjoy.

I have run my highest mileage month this year (well in fact - since 2012), just another 4 miles to clock up for the Macmillan 'Outrun' challenge this month (I promised myself that as there were 30 days in the month I would run a minumum of 31) - Tuesday and Thursday are my run days. I have also walked 72 miles - a positive to come out of this depression!

Have a good week everyone

Nutso- when me and mr lemon came up to the Lake District in May did you suggest we try Cartmel sticky toffee pudding? I saw some yesterday in a store in Coniston so bought it, brought it back for pudding last night and it was gorgeous!

Lots of rain here so far but we have done one trail run / walk and plenty of sightseeing. Today I finally feel like my cold is better so that's good, been feeling a bit chesty til now.

The cottage we are renting (High Grove, Grove Cottages, Ambleside) is an upside down layout, so the lounge / living space is upstairs with stunning views, bedrooms downstairs. Today the fells opposite are obscured by rain and dampness but it is meant to lift around lunchtime so we are going out this afternoon.

This beats the heck out of being at work! Hope you are all alright x

hey guys
You know when it feels like the world is against you? Well it's that, or someone has a voodoo doll of me and they're going pretty crazy with the pins.
I found out yesterday I have some kind of pneumonia that needs a specific drug, which has horrific side effects. Then as a result of me being ill DD had a major meltdown before school and I ended up crying. Then I couldn't get through to the chemist so I had to walk over a mile there and they didn't have the tablets in. sigh.

It's so frustrating. Every time I try to get back into running something like this happens. I know I need to stay positive but the thought of another 2 weeks before I can even think about starting is very depressing.

Should be getting the tablets tonight anyway. Bleurgh. Wish I was in a cottage in the lake district. :)

Chin up Dod, I'm sure you'll be out running again soon and more importantly feeling better, fingers crossed these new tablets will get you right again :)

I bought myself one of those compression tops the other day off Amazon, decent price and great write ups, then it arrived, oh dear, I dont think i have the physique for a compression top :( the upper body, chest shoulders arms etc no problem, but the stomach...looks like i swallowed a space hopper :) however as it is a bit nippy and raining up here today I thought i would give it a try under a jacket, the run was ok but I nearly had a stroke getting the bloody thing off ! I fear I need to lose a bit of weight before attempting that again :)

Back to my regular shift again, tried going back onto nights last week and it didnt work out, 12 yrs of night shift and last week you'd have thought I'd never done one, anyway work want me back on the 6pm-2am shift for the foreseeable, my body clock was all over the show last week and I think thats why I bailed on my 10k race on Sunday.

The Lakes sounds nice Lem :)

Hope youre all well :)
