Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

If you need and have someone faster, you can replace me with no offence taken :-)

Currently in the process of retraining and launching a business, so have rather a lot on :-o

That said, if not, I will be there. Equally not going to leave you in the lurch the other way...

you are one the faster ones :-)

Plus there's the slight issue that there is no bench this year; I've used them all!

We have an option of DNSing some legs, rather than pulling out, to get us under the time threshold on the road (it'd make our actual time with penalties a joke!). But it means:

- it makes it all a bit of a white elephant event, and given the time and commitment it needs of people, especially overnight, would people still want to do it?

- we'd have to drop a couple of people, and I'm not sure I feel comfortable with that, unless we got exactly the right volunteer(s) to give us 2 hours back. I'm certainly not selecting people not to run.

Seems a bit pointless running the Not Quite All The Way Around Norfolk Relay, however catchy the name is.

Sometimes, no matter how hard you try, and I know how hard you'll have worked at trying to make it work D, it just doesn't.

Maybe we just take a break this year. There seems to be too many other complications to try and get it to work as you've put above.

See what the RD says, but after that first year where we were way outside the cutoff as well, it's not as good turning up to checkpoints that have already packed up! And tbh, that's what it looks like we'd be doing again, and for safety and the above reason, I can't see him saying yes. And the numbers certainly can't be fiddled to make up 2 hours.

Much as I do love RNR... Maybe the sensible hat (we might just scrape one together between us; however nightjar and silvershadow's number 2 son probably owns the most part of the sensible hat being a) young and b) their offspring, I'm not claiming that any of the other team members definitely own a sensible hat, I certainly don't) needs to be put on....

If the rest of the team want to and I'm one of the people you would need to drop, that's ok. I won't be at all insulted or cross. I'm aware my running pace at the moment is completely awful, and I'm usually the slowest on this team without that.

Not looking for sympathy or cries of 'no you're not!'

I'm a practical person.

Carp, that still wouldn't be enough time looking at the sheet, and, as it appears it is my husband who has suffered from the domestic incident (pulled his back going over the dog gate; although I am yet to see him to see how bad he is!) if we're losing time on Dave running too we're going to be even further behind schedule.

I don't think I've broken any wifey confidentiality clauses there. He's done it today while I was at work. I think Darren found out about it before me!
