Just seen the crash, looks like one where there's a good chance he's ok.
I watched the last climb on multi screen, it definitely looked like the big 4/ their teams were the quickest to react to anything. With Vauquelin being an outsider from that group that was attacking. Whether that shows the likely hierarchy over the next few days who knows but Red Bull Bora definitely seems more active now.

Crash didn't look too bad, but still a bruise in the wrong place is less than ideal for a gruelling TT day tomorrow.
Maybe it's just the sort of minor tweak to Pogacar's form that allows for a 99.8% performance from him and a 100% performance from Jonas to keep the race interesting? (Or maybe not!)

Tomorrow is the first proper mountain stage not the MTT. Agree it's not ideal given it's going to be a testing day but it might not affect his form at all. Obviously if Vingegaard is better tomorrow though everyone will be wondering unless it's blatantly obvious (clearly anything less than second best would indicate a problem).

Yep, Hautacam tomorrow and TT on Friday. The TT looks to be a tough one!

Today will determine how close Pog and Ving actually are together, as it has a habit of creating time gaps.

Should be a good one! 13.5km at 7.8% will separate the wheat from the chaff!

I still think the fatigue strategy can play out later if it works. Take 2023 where Vingegaard won the first mountain stage pretty decisively when UAE rode all day, the next day Visma rode all just for Pogacar to drop Vingegaard before Pogacar finally started cracking from the TT onwards. That said Pogacar gaining a boatload of time today would make it seem pretty hard for Vingegaard to come back so think he needs to be close or better.
The next three days are tough, with the TT in the middle there's a possibility of someone going to deep on one of the days and paying for it on the next couple of days (probably more likely for the podium contenders rather than Pogacar and Vingegaard in that respect but there might be small signs of recovery differences for them)

In my team but until he shows more consistency, I just can't trust him. It seems to me that getting into GT GC shape takes a lot of effort.
